The course is provided virtually via 3-hour Zoom sessions on ten Saturday Mornings plus various in-person activities.  Sessions include basic electronics, government regulations, learning how modern radio technology works and how to operate various kinds of communications equipment.

Note:  due to the nature of the material, attending the sessions on a phone or tablet/pad is not recommended.  Participants are encouraged to use full-sized monitors and a web-cam for best results.

Course fee is $120.00 which includes the course textbook (“Canadian Amateur Radio Basic Qualification Study Guide”) + a one-year membership in the Mid Island Radio Association + writing of the Canadian Government Exam.
