Al Goodbye 1

No, No, No, he’s not a ‘silent key’ 🙂 After many years of service to the ham radio and emergency preparedness communities here in Oceanside, Al has decided to move back to the mainland to be closer to family.

At our Annual General Meeting just last week, our President, Dave VE7TE presented Al with a certificate of appreciation to thank him (in at least a small way) for the countless hours he has contributed to the club and to the Oceanside Emergency Support Services and Emergency Communications Teams. He’s also been a very appreciated storage facility for much of the accumulated equipment/junque that the club has accumulated over the years. Thanks, Al! We’ll miss your garage! 🙂

We wish him all the best and Al, we hope to hear you on the air from the mainland soon! (Although it may have to be through the Island Trunk System or via HF).

Thanks again, for everything.
